A better link: search

I've known for some time that Google lies when I do a link: search to see which sites link to my sites. Even though I know of sites that link to mine, Google doesn't list them. So I was very pleased to discover that it's possible to use @: instead of link: and many more sites are listed, although it still doesn't show some sites I know link to mine.

If I'm not mistaken, sometimes it depends which server the information regarding your site is drawn from.

On one server it will be a certain amount, and on another much less, so the data has not been propagated to all the google servers. (just something I read once, but do not know if I gave an acurate explanation as it was on the site)

They do vary a little but @: seems to consistently return more sites than link:. And the links they both miss out have been around for a long time so I'm not sure why they don't get displayed
